Fr. Jaison Pulickal, after a year of service at the Prior General's House (Chavara Hills), was just appointed assistant director of Visamo Old Age Home and Balashram at Fuljar in Gujarat in 2014.
While doing some minor repair on the electric motor, pumping out the sewage water, he was electrocuted and despite all the medical assistance, he could not be revived. His sudden departure at such a young age was a terrible shock for everyone; but had to submit to the will of the Almighty. Fr. Jaison was a committed missionary, grace-filled and dynamic in his attitude, active and a zealous priest, enthusiastic and friendly with everyone.
