St. Thomas School – Mahuva

At the invitation of the Mahuva Kelavani Sahay Samaj, the CMI Fathers took over the town’s first English Medium School on March 1, 1985, under the leadership of Fr. Ignatius Plathanam. The citizens generously donated four acres of land to St. Thomas Trust, and Fr. Ignatius acquired an additional four acres nearby. Successive principals—Frs. George Njavally, Martin Mallathu, George Areekuzhy, Abraham Kizhakkekuttu, Jose Pulavelil, and Joy Manickanamparampil—continued to develop the institution.
A milestone came on October 5, 2006, with the relocation of the K.G. section to a new city building. The Silver Jubilee on November 1, 2010, was marked by the inauguration of a well-furnished auditorium, gifted through the support of patrons. In 2017, a modern school building was added under the leadership of Fr. Abraham Kizhakkekuttu. Today, under the guidance of Principal Fr. Mathew Valarkottu, along with Frs. Joyce Aryasseril and Inson Appasseril, St. Thomas School stands as one of Mahuva’s most sought-after institutions, committed to academic excellence and holistic formation.
