Rooted in the inspiring legacy of St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara, the Saint Chavara Province, Bhavnagar stands as a radiant symbol of faith, service, and transformation in the land of Saurashtra and Kutch. Our journey began in 1973, when the pioneers of St. Joseph’s Province, Kottayam, embraced the missionary call to Gujarat with courage and conviction. Over the decades, this humble beginning has blossomed into a vibrant Province, dedicated to education, pastoral care, and social upliftment.

Formally established as a Vice-Province in 2010, Saint Chavara Province continues to grow in the spirit of our founder—serving God and humanity through schools, social outreach, and spiritual ministries. With our institutions spread across Gujarat, we remain committed to nurturing values, empowering lives, and building communities rooted in love and compassion. Guided by the vision “to live for God and serve humanity,” we move forward with gratitude for our pioneers and hope for the future.
